At Common Good our vision is to see thriving students, strong families and flourishing neighborhoods live into their God-given potential. One exciting way we foster this vision is our Elementary Student Council. These monthly meetings are an opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students to learn valuable character traits and to grow in their leadership skills. We start each meeting by allowing the students to share what makes them proud, then we discuss their ideas of ways to improve the After-School Program. During the April meeting, students presented their idea of incorporating a Common Good Field Day into our program, complete with snack suggestions and game-plans. We love seeing the way students shine when given the opportunity to lead.
